Computers In Education Fundraiser

The computers in education fundraiser is a fundraiser which stresses to spread knowledge about how computers
can be used for education. It’s a fundraiser that takes place at the Melville S. Jacobson Elementary School
in California, and all proceeds go to the Jacobson Computer Lab. It’s a place where students go to once a
week to complete projects and computer instruction. They require donations each year in order to keep the
lab running, and to upgrade to newer and better technology. How it works is that students bring home booklets
with postcards, they fill out the postcards with addresses of family and friends, and students who return
a completed booklet will get a prize from their instructor. Computers For Education will send magazine
subscription information to the people the students put on the postcards, and if 2 subscriptions are bought
then the student wins a T-shirt, in addition to being entered in an anunal drawing for a Florida vacation.
The Jacobson Computer Lab recieves .50c for each completed postcard.
